Aimee Hurst is active in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a professional accompanist and collaborative pianist. As Associate Artistic Director of the Texas Boys Choir, she appears in concert nationally and internationally with this world-renowned group. Ms. Hurst works extensively in musical theater, playing regularly at Fort Worth’s Casa Manana Theatre and Bass Performance Hall, and was musical director for Stage West’s critically acclaimed hits, Cowgirls and Johnny Guitar. As a faculty member at Texas Wesleyan University, she was a vocal coach and has done musical direction for such shows as Company, Evita and Hair. She also serves as accompanist to the Fort Worth Men’s Chorus and is staff pianist at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. First Prize winner in the Sidney Wright Competition for Excellence in Piano Accompanying, Ms. Hurst received her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. She has appeared in recital with members of the Fort Worth Symphony and Dallas Opera Orchestra, and is featured on many recordings, including the Texas Boys Choir releases Montage, One World and Hodie Cantamus. Aimee Hurst has served as Associate Artistic Director for 5 years.
