Andrea Burghart grew up in the Fort Worth area and has had a passion for the arts her whole life. After studying music, dance and theatre in public schools and private studios, Ms. Burghart received a BFA in Theatre Studies from The University of Texas at Austin with a minor in Dance. She focused on Musical Theatre work after graduation through teaching and performing with Waco Musical Theatre, Baylor University and McLennan Community College. In 2002, Ms. Burghart moved to New York City and enjoyed working with many theatre and dance companies. She received a Master of Arts in Dance Education from New York University in 2007 with K-12 Dance Certification. While at NYU, Ms. Burghart was fortunate enough to travel to Kampala, Uganda to teach dance at Makerere University and at many local orphanages. She is currently performing with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre and is a member of the adjunct faculty at Tarrant County College Northeast. |
