Sept. 4 & 5
This week the senior class is sponsoring a fwAFA tradition: HOWDY WEEK!
We
are celebrating the new school year by having special out-of-uniform
days, an elementary party (the Howdy Doo-Dah) and a secondary dance
(the Howdy Dance).
The themes for The Elements dress up days
(you must wear closed toe shoes and maintain standard lengths for
shorts and skirts etc.) are:
- Thursday: Fire Day---dress in reds/oranges/yellows---be creative!
- Friday: Water Day---dress in blues---again, be creative.
Howdy Doo-Dah:
Permission slips were sent home through home-room teachers. Please
return them no later than Thursday so we can accurately plan. There
will be healthy snacks, games, line dances, PRIZES, a costume contest
(Western theme) and much more! We'll take the 3rd-6th graders after
school. Please pick them up at the elementary door at 6pm!
Howdy Dance:
7th-12th grades from 7pm to 10pm. The theme is 80's! There will be a
costume contest but you don't have to dress up to have fun. Discount
tickets ($8) will be on sale Wednesday and Thursday during lunch. Come
and dance and snack and be with your friends to celebrate the return to
school.
